The Serena 63 Golf Series is gearing up for its second quarterly event slated for this Saturday August 10, 2024, at the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa, Kigo.
Now in its second year, the Serena 63 Golf Series, presented by I&M Bank Uganda and Serena Hotels, has seen an increase in participation, rising from 70 players in the first quarter to 77 players currently.
The Saturday edition will see the top performers in the Series recognized and awarded at the 19th hole that will feature a prize-giving dinner. This particular edition will also feature a subsidiary event that is open to all golfers, even those that are not participating in the series.
According to Boniface Ssimwa, the Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa Pro, also one of the officials for the series, this Saturday’s edition promises a bigger attendance given the fact that the series heads into its final stretch.
“The Serena 63 Series is now one of the most sought-after events at the club, at least going by the massive response from golfers. We have tens of players that have already put in over 20 rounds, which increases their chances at emerging winners in the series,” he said, adding that they expect most of the series’ participants, as well as other golfers to take part in the subsidiary event this Saturday.
Participants in this year’s Serena 63 series stand a chance to win a grand prize worth USh 40m, which includes an exclusive annual golf membership at Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa.
With the stakes higher than ever, golfers eagerly anticipate the awards session, where top performers will be taking home outstanding prizes from the event sponsor I&M Bank, as well as Serena Hotels.
